Hears Basic Study

members of the Heppner club at
Its luncheon meeting September
17.
Following up a recent review
of the local club s activities since
Its origin here, was a talk by
Mrs. Charles Starks, program
chairman, on the objectives of
ine organization on regional,
national and International
levels. Basically, two horizons
are universal work with youth
and work with the aged, the
speaker pointed out. She out
lined the structural organization,
acquainting members with re
sponsibilities of local clubs in
carrying out the regional and
national programs.

Mrs. Alice Sheldon of Valleio.
Calif., who was visiting her
aunt here, Mrs. Grace PJickerson
Mrs. Fred Parrish entertained
members at her home last

tario last week-end to attend the
11th Annual District No. 2 meet
ing of the Northwestern Region
convening at the Moore Hotel.
Presiding over the meeting was

couver, Wn.. district director.
Theme of the two-day sessions
was "Communication Through
Action," with keynote address

ath Falls, governor of the north
western region. Delegates repre
sented 26 of 28 clubs in the dist
rlct. Attending the meeting were
Mrs. Leta Thomas, Mrs. Roice
Fulleton. Mrs. Ed Gonty, Mrs.
Parrish and Mrs. Sherman.
