The Country Cutters 4-H club
met at the home of Mary K.
Campbell on Saturday. May 23,
for an all-day meeting.- We
practiced our team demonstra
tions that we are going to give
at the fair. We also practiced
putting in zippers. Mary K. serv

ing will be held at the parish
hall at Valby Lutheran church.

Move to Pendleton
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hay moved
over the week-end to their new
residence at 1211 N. W. Ellis Av
enue, Pendleton. Hay, former
extension agent here, has been
employed for some time as dis
trict agent for the Farm Bureau,
with his headquarters in Pen
dleton. They express a desire to
have their many Triends from
here visit them when in Pendleton.

Morgan Oonner. Heppner resi
dent associated with L. E. Dick,
Standard Oil of California, dis
tributor, for the last ten years,
has accepted a wholesale dis
tributorship in Goldendale, Wn.,
for the oil company. Conner will
assume management of the op
eration June 15.
Dick also announced the hir
ing of a new man in the ap
pliance store which he owns and
operates. The new employee, Ray
Fosom, is expenencea in appli
ance sales and service and has
worked for many years in this
field. Fosom. who recently mov
ed to the community, is the
father of Loy Harsin, Gazette
Times society editor.
