Mrs. Kilkenny Wins
Bowling Tourney
But Trophies Held
Mrs. Bob (Vesta) Kilkenny
won in both women's singles
and doubles in a bowling
tournament at Pendleton
Lanes on April 4, but when she
went there Sunday to get the
trophies, she found that they
had been held pending inves
tigation by the Bowling Pro
prietors' association, she said
Wednesday.
The contention is that Mrs.
Kilkenny was entered in the
tournament illegally because
Fiesta Bowl of Heppner is not
a member of the BPA, she was
advised.'This apparently elim
inates those playing out of the
local lanes from BPA sanction
ed events.
The association will conduct
a statewide investigation, she
said.
Mrs. Kilkenny won the
singles with a score of 810 for
three games and with Cleo
Gett of Hermiston won the
doubles with a score of 1524'.

Kilkenny fired a final strike to
end the threat. Heppner collec

with the Pratt twins, Kent and
Kevan, getting five of these. Kil
kenny allowed no runs on no
hits, walking four and fanning
