NOTICE OF HEARING
On September 18, 1963, the
Commissioner accepted for filing
Pacific Power & Light Company's
application, submitted pursuant
to the provisions of ORS Chap
ter 757. Said application prays
for an order of the Commissioner
allocating exclusively served
electric utility service areas and
adjacent unserved territories as
specifically designated by de
scriptions on Exhibits "A" and
"B", which are maps of the areas
involved, and Exhibits "O" &
"D", which are legal descriptions
of the areas involved. The terri
tory applied for is divided into
eight areas designated as 4reas
A through H. seven of which
areas are further subdivided into
areas bearing numerical desig
nations. The maps and other ex
hibits on file with the Commis
sioner may be examined for
more specific descriptions and
locations of the areas involved.
The eight areas above set forth
are located generally as follows:
Area A Located in Clatsop
County and exclusively served,
being that area lying north of
the city of Astoria commonly
known as Tongue Point.
Area B Consists of eleven
areas which are being exclus
ively served, located in Sherman
and Wasco Counties. One area
lies along the Columbia River
near the Hood River-Wasco
County line; one area along the
Columbia River extending east
from the Deschutes River ap
proximately a distance of nine
miles; two areas south of The
Dalles and west of the Deschutes
River; and seven areas running
from north to south within ter
ritory formed by the north line
of Township 1 North; the south
line of Township 5 South; the
west line of Range 15 East; and
the east line of Range 18 East,
W. M.
Area C Consists of eight ex
clusively served areas lying in
Gilliam and Morrow Counties.
Five of such areas lie north to
south from and including Arling
ton, to and including Condon,
with one area lying south of
Condon. Three areas extend east
and south through the center
of Morrow County to Heppner.
Area D Consists of six areas
lying in Umatilla County and
in the vicinity of the cities of
Umatilla and Hermiston and in
eluding said cities.
Area E Consists of twenty
four areas lying in Benton, Lane,
Linn, Douglas, Marion and Polk
Counties, two of which areas in
elude adjacent unserved terri
tory in eastern Linn County and
northeastern Lane County. The
areas extend from and including
the city of Dallas on the north
to a point south of Cottage
Grove, including Cottage Grove,
and from the west Range line
of Range 7 West, W. M., to the
