Mrs. Beulah Tilley went to
Bend Wednesday to take her
daughter, Patsy Keimig and her
grandson Mike home. They had
been visiting since Sunday.
Friends honored Peggy Britt
last Tuesday afternoon with a
very nice bridal shower at the
Assembly of God church base
ment. Mrs. Gary Bolin was also given
a bridal shower the following
Friday. The shower was given
by Mrs. Neal Bolin, Helen Trox
ell, Nola Nichols and Ellen Ash
er. It was attended by a very
nice crowd of friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Kelsay
went to Burns to snend the week-
end with Glenn's niece. They also
visited in John Day with' their
son, Bob Kelsay.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Fletcher
spent Saturday night in Spray,
then traveled on to John Day
on Sunday to visit Mrs. Fletcher's
brother, Bobby Kelsay.

Nursing Home Owner
Attends Convention
Anabel Turner Allison, owner
of the Allison Nursing Home and
Sandy Nursing Home in Port
land, left by plane Sunday for
New York City, where she will
be a state delegate to the nat
ional convention for the Amer
ican Nursing Homes Association.
Mrs. Allison, daughter of
Frank W. Turner of HepDner. has
operated nursing homes in Port
land for the past eight years.
She is rated as one of the top
administrators in the United
States.
She is state accreditation
chairman on the national pro
gram for the purpose of raising
the standards of nursing homes,
and recently attended a conven
tion in Honolulu.
Court Proceedings
and Mrs. Clifford Adams and
children were in Prineville on
Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Ashmead
spent the week-end with their
son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Leon Thompson in
Prineville.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nelson
is spending this week in La
Grande where they are repaint
ing their home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sanders met
their daughter and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Wilbur VanWinkle in
Vale Friday and from there they
went on a camping trip.

Jan Ordway gave a demonstra
tion on showing a cow. Les
Marks showed the members how
to exhibit rabbits, chickens and
hogs.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Asher and
Allen went to Lebanon and
Salem to attend the wedding of
their cousin.

County Court met in regular
session on July 3, 1963, at the
Courthouse. The minutes of the
previous term were read and ap
proved.
It was ordered that it be cert
ified to the St. Agric. College
mar me amount of $8250.00 was
appropriated for county exten
sion use in the county.
The amount of $11,641.91 was
transierred irom the Motor Li
cense fund to the General Road
Fund.
