A Letter
Dear Friend:
Recently a news writer called the Farm Bureau President
"One Buck Shuman." He labelled me "Two Buck Patton."
I gladly accept the label because I am FOR the BEST Farm
Income we can get NOW. The chips are really down for farmers
in the Wheat Referendum May 21. The REAL issue is whether
farmers get TWO BUCKS or ONE buck for their 1964 wheat.
The cry of "FREEDOM" is pure bunk because farmers can
name their own ticket this year, next year, or any year, under
the law.
I'm sure that you are aware that a NO vote means income
disaster next year. Not only for wheat, but for feed grains and
livestock as well.
I'm appealing to you and your friends to be sure and VOTE
and VOTE YES for TWO buck wheat and the best farm
income we can get NOW!
Fraternally,
JIM PATTON, President
National Farmer's Union
(Pd. Advt by Farmers Onion. Morrow County)
