Your Home Agent
Sewing Machine
Clinics Scheduled
At Unit Meetings
By ESTHER KIRMIS
A good sewing machine is one
of the most lasting pieces of
equipment in your home. You
may even have a sewing ma
chine that has served several
generations but is still a use
ful piece of equipment. Often
such a machine needs only a
thorough cleaning and some ad
justment to put it in perfect con
dition. Realizing this, the women of
the Extension units have re
quested that your agent visit
them during the month of April
to conduct sewing machine clin
ics on cleaning and adjusting.
Bring your sewing machine to
the meeting, if possible, and you
can work on them right there.
You will need the following
materials: a small paint brush,
small oil can for kerosene (I'll
bring the kerosene), screwdriver,
sewmachine oil and lubrication
tube, orangewood stick or long
needle, two pie plates, news
papers and rags, thread and a
piece of fabric, the instruction
book to your machine and an
apron to protect your clothes.
