A FEW pointers for good food
buving and meal planning:
use often, fruits and vegetables
that are in season; for January
and February, broccoli, Brussels
sprouts, cabbage, carrots, par
snips, turnips and rutabagas;
fruits include apples avocados,
and tangerines. Use nourishing,
low cost vegetables frequently:
potatoes, onions, cabbage, car
rots, parsnips, turnips, and ruta
bagas. Take advantage of can
ned and frozen food specials:
during the food industry big
promotion times, stock up on the
special items. Watch for other
pointers next week.
