for the taking of a fee simple

connection with the establish
ment of the John Day Lock and

The authority for the taking
is: Act of April 24, 1888 (25 Stat.
94, 33 U.S.C. 591); Act of March
1, 1917 (39 Stat. 948, 33 U.S.C.
701); Act of May 17, 1950 (Pub
lic Law 516, 81st Congress); and
Act of September 30, 1961 (Pub
lic Law 87-330). You are further
notified that if you have any
objection or defense to the tak
ing of your property or the re
moval and reinterment of bodies
from the land pursuant to the
Government's plan, a copy of
which plan is on file with the
Clerk of the above Court, you
are required to serve upon plain
tiff's attorneys at the address
herein designated within twenty
days after the date of the last
publication of this notice, an
answer designating the property
in which you claim to have an
interest, stating the nature and
extent of the interest claimed,
and stating all your objections
and defenses to the taking ot
your property or the reinterment
of bodies. A failure so to serve
an answer shall constitute a
waiver of all defenses and objec

further notified that if you have

County Clerk's office, in Hepp
ner, Oregon for approximately
40,000 gallons of first structure
gasoline and approximately 40,
000 gallons diesel type fuel oil
and approximately 50 barrels of
motor oil comparable to the
grade now using, to be delivered
either at Heppner, lone or Board
man at a maximum price per
gallon, for the period beginning
January 26, 1963 to January 25,
1964.
All bids submitted must be on
standard company contract
forms or contain complete in
formation relative to the bid.
Sealed bids will be opened at
the January term of Court, on
Wednesday 2nd day of January,
1963 at 11:00 A.M. Any bid re
ceived after 11:00 A.M. of the
above date will not be consid
ered. The County Court reserves the
right to reject any or all bids
received, or to accept those most
favorable to Morrow County.
