I TALKED with Mildred Wright
about her recent trip to Alaska
and way points. She was quite
enthusiastic about it and really
enjoyed traveling by car to see
the sights. Said they had little
car trouble, just one flat tire
when they picked up a nail in
7,000 miles! She said traveling
the Alaskan Highway is no dif
ferent than others as far as hav
ing service stations and motels
and cafes along the way. It is
really booming, catering to the
tourist trade. They took many
colored slides which are sure to
show off the interesting notes.
