Bureau Chief Urges
Farmers To Vote
Wiley Clowers, president of the
Oregon Farm Bureau, today
made a special appeal to Oregon
farmers to vote in the primary
election May 18. "Voting in the
primary is just as important as
voting in the November elec
t:cns," the farm leader said.
"Don't blame the party or poli
ticians when weak candidates
arc slated. Blame those who fail
ed to vote in the primary,"
Clowers stated. "All too often
people think the primary election
is not important. It is in the pri
mary that our potential govern
mental leaders are selected," he
explained.
