TION Notice is hereby given that an
election will be held in School
District No. R-l of Morrow Coun
ty, State of Oregon, from 2:00
p. m., to 8:00 p. m., on April
16, 19G2, at Heppner Elementary
School, lone School, Boardman
School, Irrigon School, Lexing
ton School, Rhea Creek Grange,
and Pine City School in said
school district, for the purpose
of submitting to the legal voters
of said district the question for
increasing the tax levy for the
fiscal year 1962-63 over the
amount limited by Section 11,
Article XI, of the Constitution
of Oregon.
The reasons for increasing
such levy are: Additional teach
ers, increased cost of operation,
expanded transportation costs,
and low tax base of the district.
The amount of tax, in excess
of the 6 limitation, proposed
to be levied for said fiscal year
is $484,160.

the County Court of Morrow
County, Oregon has called for a
hearing on the formation of the
BOARDMAN VECTOR CONTROL
DISTRICT on April 24, 1962 at
10:00 a. m. at the Courthouse at
Heppner, Oregon, in the County
Judge's Office.
The boundaries of the proposed
district shall be:
Beginning at a point In the
Columbia River where the Oregon-Washington
State boundary
lines and the Morrow-Gilliam
County boundary lines intersect,
thence South to the Southwest
corner of Section 19, Township
4 North, Range 23 East, W. M-,
thence East to the Southwest
boundary line thence corner of
Section 19, Township 4 North,
Range 26, East W. M., thence
North to the Oregon-Washington
State boundary line to the
point of beginning.
The purpose of this hearing Is
to allow any interested person
or persons to be heard either
for or against the formation of
the BOARDMAN VECTOR CON
TROL DISTRICT.

"Each year this well known
pattern company sends out a
wardrobe made up from fashions
that appear in their pattern
book," notes Miss Kirmis. "It's
always an event looked forward
to by all 4-H girls because of
its color and high fashion."
