program was presented to a
large audience nt the lone school
on Thursday evening by the
combined grade and high school
The prouram started with the
sixth grade singing -All I Want
For Christmas is my two Front
Teeth." "Silent Night" was pre
sented In verse and song by the
second grade class, followed by
the beginners band playing two
numbers. The seventh grade and
eighth grade chorus sang "Silver
IVlls" Dreeeeding the grades one,
three and four presentation of
the skit "Christmas Town." A
mixed chorus of the lone High
students sang two numbers and
the intermediate band followed
with two Christmas numbers.
The fifth grade class sang
"Winds through the Olive Tree"
and the High school band fol
lowed with two more Christmas
numbers.
Grades five through eight cli
maxed the program with singing
of several selections. Guess
what was next? Santa visited
on the stage with all the pre.
school children with treats for
all. He visited the class rooms
of each grade before making
his appearance at the cafetorium.
High school students and adults
were also presented with a sack
of candy, passed out by the
Letterman'i Club. J
Thirty-nine persona enjoyed I
the Dot luck supper at the Legion
hall last Tuesday evening. The
party was for the Legionnaires,
Auxiliary members and their
families. Bingo was played fol
lowing the supper.

of Pendleton visited with mends

nesday. Mrs. Mooney is in the
hospital there.

Mrs. Walter Jepsen Is a patient
in Pioneer Memorial hospital
where she has been confined
since last week due to illness.
Mrs. Omar Kletmann fell on
Christmas day. while on duty
las an auxiliary volunteer at the
Heppner hospital and broke her
arm near the shoulder. She Is
in the hospital at this writing.
Alice Kickerson of Portland
spent the holidays with her
mother, Mrs. Edith Nickerson.
Mrs. Ralph Crum received word
i that her grandmother, Mrs. Fred
Stuart of The Dalles, passed
away Sunday evening. Services
will be later this week.

family spent Christmas with her
