lone fitted sleeves and an ex
tended waistline. A scqulned

adorned the neckline. Also three
lace appliques extended down
the front of the princess panel
skirt. There were small white
covered buttons at her wrists
and down the back, and a large
bustle bow. Her finger tip veil
was held in place with a cap of
sequins, pearls, and orange bios
loms. Her brlday bouquet was
of white glamellas and steph
anotls with white ribbon stream
ers.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Jack
West, sister of the groom. Miss
Lee Walcott and Mrs. Barbara
Hubbard were bridesmaids. The
attendants' dresses were of em
broidered turquoI.se taffeta with
turquoise net hats and matching
satin slippers. Their bouquets
were of white glamellas tied
with turquoise ribbon net.
Miss Fran McLeod, cou.sln of
the bride, and Miss Susan Wheel
nouse, sister or the groom, were
candle lighters. Their dresses
were plain turquoise taffeta,
of the same design as the at
fondants. They had wrist cor
sages of glamelias and pink rose
buds.
The mother of the bride wore
a pink lace sheath dress and
pink accessories. The mother of
the groom wore a beige and blue
sheath dress with blue and white
accessories. Their corsages were
white glamellas centered with
a pink rosebud.
Acting as best man for his
brother was Lee Wheelhouse.
Jack West, brother-in-law of the
groom, Mike Healy, cousin of
the bride, and Gary Stein ush
ered.
Gordon Pratt sang "I Love You
Truly," "The Wedding Prayer,"
and "O, Perfect Love," accom
panted by Virginia Turner at the
organ.
A pink and white theme was
carried out at the reception In
the church basement. Cutting the
four-tiered wedding cake were
Mrs. Alvln Wagenblast, Mrs. Da
vid McLeod, Mrs. Corliss McLeod,
aunts of the bride, Mrs. William
Marshall, Mrs. Claude Graham,
and Mrs. Joe Francle. At the
coffee service were Mrs. Walt
Nation, Mrs. Phil Paine, Mrs.
Dick Chlnnock and Mrs. Roy
Kirk. Miss Meredith Thomson
poured the punch.
Miss Barbara Walter and Miss
Feme Albert had charge of the
gift table while the guest book
was under the direction of Miss
Barbara Wallace and Miss Judy
cochell. Also assisting was Sheila
Healy, cousin of the bride, who
passed the rice and the groom's
cake.
The bride attended OSU where
Lt. Wheelhouse graduated In
1959 and was affilllated with
Theta Zl fraternity. They will
be at home at Dave Williams
Air Force Base In July where he
will be T-33 Jet Instructor.
Following the reception a buf
fet dinner was served at the
home of the bride's parents, after
which the couple left for Vic
toria, B. C. to spend a week. For
going away the bride wore a pink
flowered silk sheath dress with a
pink linen Jacket lined In the
dress material with pink and
white accessories.
Out-of-town guests attending

son as guest. She will take the
place of Mrs. Bud Collins who
recently moved to Hood River.

Robert Jones.
Wedding Date Told
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Baker, Med
ford, announce the coming mar
riage of their daughter, Barbara,
to James II. Hays, son of Mr.
and Mrs. J. J. Hays, Heppner.
The ceremony will take place
June 30 In the Whiting Field
chapel at Milton, Fla., where
Hays is stationed with the U. S.
Navy.

couple and their families was

cake, Mrs. L. E. Ruhl, aunt of
the groom, continued with the
cutting of the cake. Mrs. Herb
Case, sisler of the bride, and
Mrs. Stanley Cox, sister-in-law

with pink and white peonies.
The groom, a 1900 graduate of
Heppner high school, is attend
ing the General Motors school

Holds Reunion Picnic
The class of 1951 of Heppner
High sc hool gathered Sunday at
the Cut- forth cabin in the moun
tains for a day of visiting and
r.-niiniscing. starting with a pot
luck dinner.
Sixteen classmates and their
families out of the 25 class mem
bers contacted were present for
the occasion.
