Installation Set
The Soroptimist club of Hepp
n.r has fwtprt Jackie Brindle,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Brindle, and Karen aiti-uiuy,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan
McCurdy, Jr., as recipients of
the citizen scholarship which
entitles them to a camp of their
choice for one week.
The girls, Jackie from the high
school group, and Karen, from
the grade school group, were
chosen on the basis of courtesy,
kindness, and helpfulness to
others of all ages.
Jackie has chosen Camp How
ard at Troutdale and will leave
July 30. Karen will go to Camp
Cove on July 16.

recital at the Christian church.

dell, former student of Mrs. Tur
ner, who is now studying piano
at the University of Oregon. Kar

membered in the area for her

Order of Rainbow;
Peggy Snyder and Linda War
ren were initiated Into the Order
of Rainbow for Girls at the meet
ing Monday night.
The girls from the Ruth As
sembly No. 50 who attended the
Grand Assembly in Klamath
Falls, June 11-13, returned with
honors for the assembly which
won the service award of the
State of Oregon. Bernice Thom
son was elected as an executive
board member of the Order for
Rainbow for Girls In the state.

Nancy Erland of Beaverton and
Kathie DeTemple and Marilyn
Borchers, both of Portland. Nan
cy was Linda Heimbigner's room
mate at the University of Ore
gon where all of the girls are
students. They enjoyed water ski
ing at Hat Rock over the weekend.
