An evening candlelight core
mony at 7 o'clock Tuesday, Dec
27. at the home of the bride's
parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harold K.
reck, united In marriage Mis
Marjorle Kay reck and John
Dean Craves, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Craves of Hardman.
For her wedding the bride
wore a street length sheath dress
of white wool Jersey. Her head
piece was a rhlnestone tiara. She
carried a white satin Bible with
a bouquet of Garnet rosebuds
with white mums. Her rhlne
stone necklace was a Rift of the
groom. She wore the traditional
blue garter and a penny, the
year of her birth placed In her
shoe by her father.
The rooms were decorated In
the Christmas theme.
Mrs. Roger Talmer. sister of
the bride, was matron of honor.
She wore a red wool jersey and
carried a nosegay of candystrlpe
carnations. The best man was
Mr. Robert Harrison, cousin of
the groom, of Cascade Locks.
The bride was given In mar
riage by her father, and the Rev.
Charles Knox officiated at the
double ring ceremony.
During the ceremony Miss
Phyliss Nolan, cousin of the
bride, sang "Because" and 'I
Love You Truly," accompanied
at the piano by Mrs. Leland
Hardy, sister to the bride. Mrs.
Leland Hardy also played the
wedding marches. Their cor
sages were candystripe carna
tion. A reception followed the cere
mony. The bride and groom cut
the first piece of cake which was
later cut and served by Mrs.
Millard Nolan, aunt to the bride.
Mrs. Louis Carlson, sister of the
groom, served punch and Miss
Phyliss Nolan poured coffee.
The bride's mother wore a
beige shantung two piece dress
and the groom's mother wore a
navy blue suit. Their corsages
were red carnations.
The bride's grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Burton H. Peck of Lex-
Ington. also attended me cere
mony. The groom Is In the United
States Army stationed at Fort
Ixwis where he reported for duty
January 5. The bride Is a senior
In Heppner high school where
she will remain to finish after
a short wedding trip. She will
then go to Join her husband.

stallation of officers at the reg
ular meeting on Thursday night.
The meeting was presided over
by the N. G. and after the reg
ular business was taken care of.
the meeting was turned to the
installing team. Mrs. A. F. Ma
Jeske and Mrs. W. E. McMillan.
The new elective officers for
the coming year are Bertha

G.; Delpha Jones, secretary;
Dimple Munkers, Treasurer.

rence McMillan, R. S. V. G.
At this time the Past N. G. pre
sented the outgoing officers with
small tokens of appreciation. A
resignation of Mrs. Jones as
trustee for the lodge .was read
and approved and Mrs. Cora
Warner was elected to fill Mrs.
Jones' unexpired term.
Following this refreshments
were served and pinocnie was
enjoyed by some of the mem
bers. Mrs. Bertha Hunt also en
tertained with stories of her Eu
ropean . trip and by showing
some of her lovely souvenirs and
pictures of many of the places
visited.

Films At Grange Meet
The Lexington grange will
have the regular meeting on Sat
urday, Jan. 14, 8:00 p.m. in the
grange hall.
Of special Interest will be the
showing of pictures by Ralph
Crum taken while traveling on

Western Europe made last
spring. There were 14 business
