I've obtained them and would
like to share them with y'u:
HAMBURGER CHOW MEIN
2 lbs. hamburger, brown In butter
1 cup celery
cup onions
V. cud almonds
2 Tablespoons soysauce
1 green pepper
can mushrooms
can celery soup
can mushroom soup
1 cup cooked rice
(Add bean sprouts if desired).
Slice the almonds, (chop celery
and onion In large pieces Ci
to 34" squares). Add all to meat

and bake 30 minutes at ae
grees. Serve over Chinese crisp
noodles. Serve with tossed salad
and hot biscuits.
CHICKEN SUPREME
chicken cooked (meat removed
from bones)
Make dressing of:
loaf stale bread
onion
few celery leaves
tsp. salt
tsp. pepper
enough water to moisten mixture
Grease a large flat pan and
place dressing in Douom oi yuii,
c'ut up chicken and spread about
place dressing In bottom oi pan,
on top of dressing and cover witn
the following mixture:
Melt cup chicken fat
add 34 cup flour (stir well)
add 1 qt chicken broth
(stir till smooth and thickened)
Remove mixture from stove
and pour slowly over 6 beaten
eggs. Stir till smooth and pour

Tuesday. November 13. paid its
1IHX) CI tax. s In Morrow County.
P. A. Short, local manager for
the company, said a check for
$19,275.52 had tn-en sent to Sher
iff and Tax Collector. C. J. P.
B.iuman. The net amount after
discount for prompt payment
was one of the largest payments
In the county this year.
Throughout the state on Tues
day. Pacific Telephone North
west paid property taxes totaling
$1,911.0-1186. The company's
combined total for all counties
In which It operates made It the
largest taxpayer In the state.
Mr. Short pointed out that, as
in other business operations,
thoiich the property tax Is paid
by the company. It Is actually
the customers who foot the bin.
"The monthly bill payments
from our users are the company's
only source of revenue to meet
all operating expenses including
tnxes." M. Short said.
