The Riverside high school
band under the leadership of
Bill White will participate In the
Morrow County band festival to
be held at Heppner Nov. 22 at
D.m. The conductor of the fes
tival will be Russ Larson, direc
tor of the Walla Walla High
School band. There will be a
parade on the streets of Hep-
oner at 4 D.m. of all bands tak
ing part In the festival. The rest
of the day will be spent rehears
ing. The bands also go to Hep
pner to rehearse Nov. 19.

a truck load of beef cattle. He
found the market for cattle very
prior owing to the yards being
filled with an excessive amount
of stock.
Hennner emerged victorious
from the two football games with
Hermiston on Armistice Day.
The grade school won 27 0 and
the high school won 39 0.

Mr. and Mrs. Riley Munkers
spent Saturday in Arlington vis
iting relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. John Graves are
living on the L. A. Palmer ranch
formerly occupied by Mr. and
Mrs. Dsn Smith who have moved
to California.
The lone Hotel was completely
destroyed by fire between 7 and
8 o'clock Sunday morning. It is
believed the fire started from an
overheated stove. The hotel has
been closed while some repair
work was done.
