A state speech contest on wild
life conservation and soil Judg
ing contests are among main
events for young people at the
association's 12th annual meet
ing. Finals of the association's
statewide speaking contest will
bring together seven regional
winners of high school age or
younger on Nov. 17. reportea

On a recent survey conducted
by the school paper, The Cardl
nal, on whom each student
would vote for as the next presi
dent of the United States and
why, we found the results very
close with Nixon coming out on
top with 25 votes while Kennedy
marked up 23.
Last minute cramming was
seen often the past few days as
the nine weeks exams were held
this week, and next week the
students will be receiving their
