LADIES DAY LINK LORE: I
have a little story to tell on Jan,
Kay and Jayne . . . Arolene and
I were playing right behind their
threesome and I had driven the
green on no 4 and was so de
lighted to think I might have
a good chance of birdylng it.
We walked down the bluff and
across the creek to the green
and the three of them were still
there waiting to watch me putt,
so I carefully approached my
ball and spent several seconds
lining it up, smoothing the green
etc, then I stroked the ball and
to my utter amazement it went
.Vn1W to ay by !h! time I
leld rnywlf and just bar
ly able to tap th ball In
f-r a thre putt green. But when
I picked the ball out t4 thf rup
I noticed It wan"t my ball and
then I aw everybody doubled
up with laughter, for Jan had
dipped In a Goof Ball lon that
is filled with liquid! In place
or my ball while we were walk
ing over to the green. I you might
ay I really was a -gullible golf.
er" for I had no suspicions what-everj.
Next ladies day tee off time
will be at 8:00.
