been studying. All the students

play and afterwards all those
attending looked at the nice dis
play of Latin American products
which trimmed the stage.

cil president. Mrs Athnlle Lage,

president, has served her three
years.
Mrs Ruth Klippsteln, OSC food
and nutrition specialist, moder
ated a symposium on "r.du-
cation the answer to food fad-
dism". With her on the panel
was Dr H W Schults and Dr
Betty Hawthorne of OSC resi
dent staff, and Miss Pat Erpeld
ing of the Oregon Dairy Council.
They brought out the fact that
food fad isms prosper on the
fears of the public. By quoting
half truths and omitting specific
references these people who pro
mote quick diets, blood builders,
and vitamin builders are able to
gross several million dollars
from the gullible public.
