was held at the Heppner lOOF
hall Saturday, January 9 follow
ing a delicious ham dinner, with
a large crowd attending.

Mrs Piper was wearing a lovely
corsage given her by her son and
daughter-in-law. The newly in
stalled noble grands closed the
meeting.

lene Fetsch.

The regular business meeting
of Beta Omega chapter of Fp
silon Sigma Alpha was held at
the home of Mrs Eileen Padberg
on January 6.
Mrs Padberg, ways and means
chairman, reported that the
Rmwn and Halev candy to be
sold In February has been order
ed and it was decided to adver
tise the sale In the paper.
It was also decide not to con
tribute to the E S A home fund.
Mrs Beverly Doherty, educat
ional director, introduced Mrs
Maxlne Cox, who instructed the
group in making copper pictures.
Co-hostesses for the evening
were Mrs Melba Miller and Mrs
Donna Peterson.

Elks Ladies Night
Ladies night was held Thurs
day evening of last week at the
Elks temple . with nine tables
of pinochle and ten tables of
bridge in play.
In bridge high score was held
by Mrs Pat O'Brien, second high
was Mrs Glen Ward and door
prize was received by Mrs A D
McMurdo.
In pinochle, Mrs Don Bennett
was high, with Mrs Alvin Case
beer second high and Mrs Dar
rell Padberg winning the door

and Jackie Burnette of Irrlgon
were married Tuesday, January
5 at the home of Mr and Mrs
J O Hager, with Mr Hager per

sister and brother-in-law, Mr and
Mrs Ray Patterson of Lexington.
The couple remained in Lex
ington for a week's visit and
plan to make their home in
Umatilla where the groom is employed.
