ROBISON-BROSNAN WEDDING EVENT
AT ST PATRICKS CATHOLIC CHURCH
The wedding of Miss Geraldlne
Joann Brosnan, daughter of Mr
and Mrs Jerry Brosnan, Heppner,
to Leland Richard Robison, son
of Mr and Mrs Richard Robison.
Heppner, was solemnized In a
double ring ceremony at St Pat
rick's Catholic church Friday
evening, August 14. The Rev
Patrick Galre performed the
evening Nuptial Mass.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a waltz
length gown of embroidered, ruf
fled rows of nylon tulle over
satin. The full length sleeved
Jacket was edged with dainty
rows of lace and had a peter pan
collar. Her nylon Illusion veil
was held in place by a lace cap
bordered with seed pearls and
she carried a bouquet of white
stephanotis and pink rosebuds.
For something old she wore her
great grandmother's engagement
ring.
The matron of honor, Mrs Vern
K Evans, wore a beige lace dress
with pink accessories and carried
a nosegay of white Shasta dais
ies. Vern K Evans was best man
and ushers were Bob Laughlln
and Dan Brosnan, brother of the
bride.
The mother of the bride wore a
pink and white nylon dress with
white accessories and the mother
of the groom wore a pink dress
with white accessories. They
both had corsages of pink rose
buds. Billy Kenny sang "On This
Day Oh Beautiful Mother", "Pa
nls Angelicus", and "Ave Maria".
Miss Marguerite Glavey was at
the organ.
At the reception, which fol
lowed the ceremony, the tables
were decorated with white dais
ies and pink baby breath.
Mrs George Currin and Mrs
Ebb Hughes cut the three tier
wedding cake, after the tradit
ional first slice by the newly
weds. Mrs John Brosnan, grand
mother of the bride, and Mrs
Osmln Hager, poured at the cof
fee table and Mrs Chuck Myers
presided at the punch bowl. Mrs
Eonald McCabe was In charge
of the guest book and Karen
and Verlna French had charge
of the gift table. Assisting about
the room were Miss Helen Gra
ham and Miss Janice Beamer.
For her going away costume
the bride chose a navy blue
sheath with white polka dots
and navy blue and white acces
sories. After a short honeymoon
to Wallowa Lake the young
couple will be at home In Hepp
ner. Out of town guests here for
the wedding were Mrs Ronald
McCabe, Brookings; Mrs Sam Mc

farewell party Sunday evening
at the P W Mahoney home In
honor of Shan Applegate who
will attend school this fall at
Gonzaea, and Mike Williams
who Is moving with his parents
to Pendleton.
There was swimming In the
afternoon at the Heppner swim
ming pool, with a hamburger
barbecue and show in the evening.

ber to Gary Warren Jones, son
of Mr and Mrs Paul Jones of
Heppner.
Miss Barber is a graduate of
Wy East high school in Hood
River in the clas3 of 1958, and
is now employed at the Neigh
bor of Woodcraft Life Insurance
Co in Portland.
Mr Jones Is a 1957 graduate
of the Heppner high school and
will resume his studies at North
west Technical Institute in Port
land the first of September.
No date for the wedding has
as yet been set.

A family reunion and birthday
dinner combined was given Mon
day at the home of Mr and Mrs
Everett Harshman.

Larry Pettyjohn celebrated his
eighth birthday with a party
Monday afternoon at the home
of his parents, Mr and Mrs How
ard Pettyjohn.

derson, who received the club's
Girls State scholarship and Ber
nice Thomson who received the
4-H summer school scholarship.
Connie attended Girls State at
Willamette University in Salem
and Bernlce was at Oregon State
College In Corvallis. Both told
of the work they did there and
about the entertainment plan
ned for them.

drawing of the clubs float and
also explained the color scheme
and details of the float.
