to the revue on Friday night
to make a complete program.

The Hermlston and Heppner
congregations of Jehovah wit
nesses have been Invited to at
tend a four-day convention to
be held July 23-26 In Boise's
new Borah high school, Ted Pol
and, presiding minister of the
local group said today.
Arranging the program for the
convention will be the Watch
tower Bible and Tract Society of
New York, Inc. The same general
outline will be followed at 28
similar gatherings which will be
held throughout the summer in
the United States, Canada, as
well as in the 49th state, Alaska.
About 45 representatives will at
tend from Hermiston and vicinity

"The purpose of the meeting,"
said Poland, "is to provide add
tional Bible Instruction for the
Witnesses and to assist them
to better apply Bible principles
in their lives. The assembly will
follow the theme of "Awake
Ministers" and this thought will
be carried throughout the sched
uled morning, afternoon and
evening sessions which will be
made up of Bible talks, discuss
ions and practical demonstra
tions." The highlight of the conven
tion will be a special public talk
on the last day of the gathering,
titled "When God Speaks to All
Nations". This will be delivered
by a special representative of
the Watchtower Society from
Brooklyn.

Alfred West of Plller, Ore was
a visitor at the home of Mr and
Mrs Harold Rash from Sunday
till Wednesday of last week.
Other recent visitors at the Rash
home were their son and daughter-in-law,
Mr and Mrs Darrel
Rash and daughter, Valerie, Port
land. They also visited at the
home of Mrs Rash's parents, Mr
and Mrs Henry Zlvney.
