SWANSON-I NGRAM WEDDING EVENT
OF SATURDAY AT ST MARYS CHURCH

bride of Dennis Edward Swan
son, son of Mr and Mrs Garland

mass at St Marys Catholic church
in Pendleton Saturday, June 20
at 10 A M. Father Hurley offic
iated at the double ring cere
mony. The bride given in marriage
by her father, wore a floer length
gown of chantilly lace over taff
eta and her seed pearl crown
held a finger tip veil Her flowers
were white stephanotis and pink
rose buds. Miss Marlene Ingram
was her sister's maid of honor
and the brides maids were Miss
Marilyn Monagle, Mrs Terry Far
row and Miss Patty Lou Deane,
a cousin of the bride. They all
wore pink pastel dresses and car
ried nosegays of pink and white
rose buds.
Sharlene Uamlett, cousin of
the groom, was the flower girl.
She wore a miniature bride dress
which was a duplicate of the
brides' dress and carried a bou
quet of pink rose buds and white
Shasta daisies. Jimmy Swanson,
brother of the groom, was the
ring bearer. Jerry and Billy
Swanson, cousins of the groom
served at mass.
John Swanson was his bro
ther's best man. The ushers were
Larry Rietmann, Terry Farrow,
and Kenneth Turner, brother-in-law
of the groom.
Mrs Dale Bennett (Bette Gor-
ger) played the wedding music
and Robert Gorger sang.
A reception followed In the
Vert club roof which also carried

The mother of the bride wore
a light blue dress with white
accessories and the mother of the
groom wore a beige dress with
pink accessories. They both wore
pink rose bud corsages. Mrs
Deane, grandmother of the bride,
wore a light green dress with
white accessories and Mrs Mary
Swanson, grandmother of the
groom, wore a grey printed suit
dress with white accessories.
Both wore yellow rose bud cor
sages. The bride chose a beige dress
with burnt orange accessories for
going away.
After a wedding trip through
Las Vegas and California the
couple will be at home In lone.

Broiler fryer chickens broiled over an outdoor grill have new
taste wonder when glazed with a Went Indies barbecue sauce.
The ingredients for the shining, swcet-yct-nippy barbecue sauce
are found on every pantry shelf . . . unsulphiired molasses, vine
ear, corn oil, Worcestershire and Tabasco. The sweet molasses
Rivim color and flavor to the sauce, blends easily with the other
ingredients, and gives a golden glaze to the plump and juicy
broilers.
Went Indies UnrlM'oue Sauce
4 broiler-fryer chickens,
halved or quartered
4 teaspoons monosodium
glutamate
Yt cup prepared mustard
cup unsulphured molasses
Yi cup lemon juice or vinegar
2 tablespoons corn oil
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
sauce
Yt teaspoon Tabasco
Yj teaspoon salt
Wash and dry chicken. Sprinkle each chicken with one tea
spoon monosodium glutamate. Place chicken, skin side up, on
grate set 12 inches or more from heat. Combine mustard and
molasses; stir in remnining ingredients. Rrush chicken with bar
becuo sauce. Cook slowly until tender, turning frequently and
basting each time. (Total cooking time: 1 hour to 1 hour, 15
minutes.)
Yield: 8 to 10 servings, depending on weight of broiler-fryer
chicken. ' .
