"The company has made this
new $100,000 addition to its plant
in Sunnyside, Washington," Ha
gor said,!' in the search for new
markets for the surplus milk of
Carnation's producers in North
east Oregon, Southeast and Cen
tral Washington." Carnation pur
chases last year from 275 dairy
farmers in its area amounted to
$1,734,550.91.
Hager said the new operation
enables his company to find mar
kets in the United States and
abroad for the surplus milk Car
nation presently takes from the
area. It will help the company's
dairy farmer shippers keep a
market for all their milk, he said,
as the area does not now con
sume all its products.
Mr Hager said, "In the area
that Hager's Dairy services, we
paid $125,948.20 for raw milk in
the past year. Our payroll during
this same time was $10,994.76.
Our policy has been and will
continue to be to sell all of the
production from our area that we
can find market for, first cov
ering our own sales and then
all of the surplus market that we
can get for Eastern Oregon pro
ducers. We believe the new grade

Sutures club was organized. Our

Our meetings will be held in her
home every Tuesday.
