gave the invocation and Rev
Floyd Bailey, pastor of the Com
munity church gave the bene
diction; a musical selection was
given by Barbara Baker, Lona
White, Jean Martin, Mary Emert
and Brenda Townsend accom
panied by Karen Lundell and
directed by Gary Stephenson.
The following awards were
presented by Dallas Shockley,
superintendant of the lone
schools: pins to Mardine Baker,
valedictorian and to Grace Mc
Cabe, salutatorian; a journalism
award to Mardine Baker, a mu
sic award to Ann Belle Coleman,

A reception was given after
wards in honor of the graduating
classes and refreshments were
served from a table with a center
piece of glads and orchid can
dies. The little cakes were decor
copy of said judgement and de
cree to the Tax Collector of Mor
row County, Oregon, and that
said judgement and decree shall
be considered to all intents and
purposes a certificate of sale to
the County of each of the prop
erties therein described.

Over 50 Carcasses
Condemned in March
Fifteen sheeu. 31 head of cat
tle and eicht swine were con
demned by state meat inspect
ors during March, according to
department of agriculture.
Four sheeD were rejected on
live inspection; the 53 other con
demnations were made alter
slaughter. Throughout the state
18,385 animals were inspected
8,069 cattle, 1,209 calves,
sheep, 8,418 swine, six goats and
210 horses.
The condemnation percentage
in March was 0.31 whlcn is
slightly lower than the 0.35 per
cent recorded for January and
February.
More than 5000 livers were
disrarded as unfit for human
consumption in March. Fluke in
cow livers and parasites m swine
livers were the most usual caus-
of condemnation. Abscesses
were also reasons for rejection.
In March 300 heads, 51 hearts,
19 kidneys and 35 tongues were
also condemned, along witn im
pounds of assorted sausage pro
ducts and 12 pounds of ham.
