necklaces and pearl earrings, gifts

Miss Goracke have been class
mates of the bride at OSC.
The flower girl, little Miss Dor
inda Kay Steiger, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Roger Steiger of Port
land, a cousin of the bride, wore
a pastel orchid dress and carried
a basket of white chrysanthe
mums. The ring bearer, Johnny
Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
Hall, Heppner, is also a cousin of
the bride.
Best man was Bill West of Olex,
friend and classmate of the
groom. Ushers were Jim West and
Phil Sherrell ' of Arlington and
Ron Anderson of Blalock, friends
of the groom.
Mrs. Wright, mother of the
bride, wore a royal blue crepe
dress and royal blue feather hat.
Mrs. Anderson, mother of the
groom, wore a rose -beige crepe
satin dress and pink feather hat.
Each mother had a cypropedium
orchid corsage.
The Episcopal parish house,
where the reception was held was
decorated with white 'mums.
On the bride's table was a four
tiered white and orchid cake,
with orchid flowers. Crystal
candle-holders held white tapers
on the bride's table and coffee
and punch tables.
Following the cutting of the
first slice of cake by the bride and
groom, Mrs. Darrell Farrens of
Monument, Mrs. Harry Owen of
Prineville Mrs. Archie Ball and
Mrs. Ray Wright of Heppner,
aunts of the bride, alternated in
serving the cake. Mrs. Evelyn
Farrens of Heppner, grandmoth
er of the bride,- and Mrs. Earle
Gilliam of Heppner, poured cof-

Karen Owen, Prineville, cousin
of the bride, played a number of
piano selections during the re
ception. Mrs. Elmer Palmer and Mrs.
Claude Graham of Heppner were
in charge of the reception. They
were assisted by Miss Dorinda
Farrens of Monument, cousin of
the bride, Miss Helen Graham,
Miss Meredith Thomson, Mrs. P.
W. Mahoney, Mrs. Jack Loyd Mrs.
LaVerne Van Marter Jr., and Mrs.
Harold Wright.
For her going away costume
the bride wore a purple wool
crepe sheath with short tweed
jacket, which she had made,
white fur hat and black acces
sories. ,
Following a honeymoon through
Nevada, Arizona and California,
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson will be at
home in Arlington for the pres
ent. Mrs. Anderson graduated
from Heppner high school and Mr.
Anderson from Arlington high.
Both attended Oregon State college.

Elks Teenage Party

high schools were well represent
ed at the Elks teenage party held
Friday at the lodge hall.
There was dancing and com
petitive games with prizes of
phonograph records and theater
tickets given winners of the
games.
Bob Flatt, chairman of the
party was assisted by Mrs. Flatt,
Mr. and Mrs. William Labhart,
Mr. and Mrs. Del Jordan and Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Gimbel. Members
of the Soroptimist International
prepared the food which was
served by club members Mrs. John
