Monument News
Roy Bowman was reported ill
with the flu Monday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Williams and
two sons spent five days at Med
ford where they were called by
the death of Dick's father, Jay
Williams. The funeral was on the
23rd. He died of a heart attack
while fishing at Gold Beach.
Mrs. Aaron Engalls and baby
daughter are home from Portland,
she is at the home of her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wheerer
of Court Rock.
Grace Stirritt is a patient in. St.
Joseph hospital in La Grande,
where she had eye surgery. She
was accompanied by her husband
George, and sister Iffie Stewart
of John Day. Mr. an.d Mrs. Fred
Shank and Laura Lee also were
with them.
Mrs. Ed Rounds accompanied
her sister, Mrs. Nick Benafotie of
Fox, to Portlnd where she had
surgery.
Mamie Ferguson was surprised
when her daughter and husband
drove in from Kansas for a visit.
