Games were played and the teachers introduced by the clerk of the school were the following: Mrs. Alice Waddlll first and second; Mrs. C. C. Carmlchael third and fourth ; Mrs. Inez Meador, 5th and 6th; and C. Friedrich 7th and 8th Mr. WaddlH, principal of the school; Miss Betty Oberst, Eng lish and girls P.E.; Mrs. Bill Weatherford, commercial, and Bob Mathews, history and boys P. E. Later, refreshments of tos sed green salads, dunks, crackers, chips and coffee were served. The room was beautifully decorated with fall flowers. Gordon Nichols, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nichols is at home ag ain after a stay in Pioneer Me morial hospital. ! Mrs. A. F. Majeske has return ed home after a visit In Randle, ' Wash. A daughter, Mrs. Jack Mounts and son, Stevie, returned to their home there after a visit here. Mr. and Mrs. Harvev Wrieht of Arlington are the parents of a son born in Pioneer Memorial hospital last week. Mrs. Wright is the former Pat Majeske of Lex ington. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Darnielle, parents of Bert Darnielle, and their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Betty Darnielle and childrtn of La Grande, were visitors at the home of their son and family In Lex ington on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Darnielle are from The Dalles. Miss Dona Barnett and Mrs. Trina Parker returned home Sat urday after a visit of several days in Portland. J. F. McMillan and son Denny have returned home from Salem and Portland. While away from home they visited the state fair. Mr. and Mrs. 0. G. Breeding were visitors In Kinzua on Sun day. Mrs. Gene Majeske entertained wtlh a party on Monday after jioon honoring her small daugh- lor Dommie's birthday. The fol lowing were present, Diana Cuts forth, Tama Rauch, Karen Knox, Dcnice Bloodsworth, and Becky Doherty. After the many gifts were opened refreshments were served. Also present were the fol lowing mothers: Mrs. Bloods worth, Mrs. Doherty, Mrs. Cox, Airs. Lursrorth and Mrs. Rauch Hugo Leyva and Charlene Jones entertained with a "back to school" party on Saturday night at the O. W. Cutsforth ranch. Mixer games and dancing were enjoyed after which refresh ments were served to 25 young sters. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Peck, Mr. and Mrs. Gar Ley va, and Miss Betty Oberst, Mrs. C. C. Jones, and Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Cutsforth. Miss Inez McFadden was a week guest at the Frost home in Spray. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buchanan are visiting with a daughter and family in Newport, Ore. Word has been received in Lex ington of the accident to Asa Way at football practice at Port land State when he dislocated ins left elbow. He will be out of practice for about three wvk .Mr. and Mrs. John Ledbetter una daughter Jeanette were vis itors at the state fair.
