Bridge club Sunday evening at
their home. Members playing

couple winning high score was
Mr. Gribble and Mrs. Blakney,
second high Mr. Meador and Mr.
Pratt.

Warren Family Has
Annual Reunion
At Parkers Mill
The third annual Warren fam
ily reunion was held Sunday,
July 11 at the old Parker Mill
site, with 65 present.
Only two of the senior memb
ers of the family, Mrs. Minnie
Furlong of Los Angeles and Mrs.
Florence Dalzell of Condon, were
able to be present. Alex Warren
of Condon, the third senior
member, was unable to attend.
Other members attending were
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Grow, Mabton,
Washington, and daughter Betty
Gillingham and three children
of Hermiston; Alice Warren,
Prosser, Wash.; David Warren,
Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. I r e n e
Claughton and two grandchild
ren, Boardman; Mrs. Lloyd Kel
ler, and daughter, Mrs. Melvin
Pattee and two daughters; .Mr.
and Mrs. Vern Dalzell and son;
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Jones and

O'Brien home Friday evening.

Mrs. Bernard Marshall, Mrs. Glen

hostess. After the gifts were open
ed, bridge was played, with high
score going to Mrs. Gunderson
and second to Mrs. Ward. Mrs.
Hamilton and Judy will leave
soon to join Mr. Hamilton in Kla
math Falls.
MR. AND MRS. GEORGE HERMANN, (Cherry Gray) who were
married June 16 at the Hope Lutheran church in Heppner. The
couple is making their home at Lexington. (Coles Studio)

Wilson's Mens Wear
The Store of Personal Service
having been married at Icne on
July 20, 1907. They spent the first
29 years of their married life in
the county before moving to the
Willamette valley in 1936. They
have lived south of Albany ever
since.
Mr. and Mrs. Hale have one
daughter, Mrs. Miriam Leaven
good, who with her husband are
employed by the Fish and Wild
life Service at Sheldon, in north
ern Nevada.

carried out, with each visitor giv
ing her husband's name, her
childrens" names and an auto
biography for the benefit of the
honored guest.
Two Heppner Women
Return From Tour
Mrs. Sam Turner and Mrs.
Harry Turner returned to Heppner
July 19 from a tour of the Na
tional Education Association
which took them to all the
countries of Central America. The
group, consisting of 22 travelers
and the conductor, left New Orl
eans on June 20 and spent a day
or two at each stop.
Included on their itinerary
were Morida, Yucatan, Province
of Mexico, and the nearby Indian
ruins in the city of Chichen Itza;
Guatemala City, Antigua and
LakeAtitlan in Guatemala; San
Salvador, El Salvador; Tegusig
alpa, Honduras; Managua, Gran
ada and Lake Nicaragua in Nic
aragua; San Jose, Costa Rica,
where the coffee plantations are
especially fascinating; Panama
City, Colon and Cristobal in the
Canal Zone; Mexico City, and
Houston, Texas; The traveling
was 'entirely by air, the women
having left by plane from Pendle
ton and returning there. j
