Palmateer made a trip to Yakima
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. William Melena
are on a trip through the east
ern states.
Mrs. Edgar Synold of Tucson,
Ariz, were recent visitors at the
Cecil Thome home. Mrs. Synold
and Mrs. Thome are sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bristow and
children of Portland spent the
weekend with his parents, Mr.
and' Mrs. E. W. Bristow and other
relatives. Their daughter, Katrina,
remained for a longer visit.
Mrs. Adon Hamlett is a patient
in the Good Samaritan hospital
in Portland following surgery

her returned home Friday of last
week and reports her to be gett
ing along satisfactorily She is ex
pected home this week.

returned home Sunday from Bak
er where they visited her daugh

ence in Corvallis Tuesday thro

dinner guests at the Ernest Mc
Cabe home Sunday.
Mrs. Elmo McMillian of Salem
is visiting her mother, Mrs. Mary
Swanson.
Members of the St. Patrick's
church parish held a picnic at
Cutsforth park in the mountains
Sunday. A potluck dinner was
served at noon and baseball was
enjoyed. The men of the Holy
Name society furnished the ice
cream.
Mrs. Ray Turner and sons of
Pendleton spent last week with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo
Drake.
Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Crawford
and daughters spent Sunday in
Forest Grove and Portland. Their
daughter, Marlene, remained in
Portland for a week to visit rel
atives. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bauren
feind, of Williams were here this
week on business.
Mrs. W. M. Schuler of Ontario
is visiting her sister and brother-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Crow
well near Morgan Lon Merrill of
Long Creek was a weekend vis
itor at the Crowell home.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl McKinney
and son Alan, attended a recep
tion in honor of her grandmother,
Mrs. Lenora Cauthers, in Moro
Sunday. Mrs. Cauthers celebrat
ed her 90th birthday. She lives
alone and is quite active. The
reception was held in the Com
munity church in Moro.
Mrs. Monetta Aldrich has been
ill at her home with the flu.

Sunday at the Franklin Ely home
and also visited his father, H. O.

harvest work. Mrs. Hope is the
