Ely and Mrs. Olive Engle man returned to their homes last week from the Pioneer Memorial hospital where they were pa tients. The American Legion Auxiliary junior members met at the Le gion hall Thursday afternoon March 7 with their leader, Mrs. Earl McCabe. There were 12 girls present. They made favors for the nursing home at the Pio ner Memorial hospital. They voted to each bring ten cents to next meeting April 12 to go to ward purchasing a rose bush to be given to the Garden club. Mrs. Dixon Smith and Mrs. John Proudfoot gave reports on North African nations at the Topic club meeting at the Proud foot home Friday afternoffli on March 8. These reports were taken from the book "Inside Africa" by John Gunther. They also used a map of Africa and told of the different governments. At the business meeting conduct ed by Mrs. Norman Nelson it was reported that $5 was donated to the public library by the Arnica club.
