Church Group Holds
All Day Meeting
The Christian Womens Fellow
ship held an all day meeting
and luncheon Wednesday of last
week. Twenty five attended the
luncheon and twenty were pre
sent at the meeting.
Mrs. C. N. Jones, program chair
man, led the discussion on Thai
land and Mrs. Paul Jones re
viewed its history. Other reports
were given by Mrs. Barbara Sen-
warzin, Mrs. F. E. Parker and
Mrs. Pearl Devine. Mrs. Sara Jones
reviewed the book, "Mary Mc
Cloud Bethune." Mrs. F. S. Pac
ker led the devotionals.
Noon hostesses were Mrs. Roy
Neill and Mrs. Robert Thompson.

Mrs. Cohn Entertains
Legion Auxiliary
The American Legion auxil
iary met Tuesday February 19 at
the home of Mrs. Harold Cohn.
It was announced that the
auxiliary gave $5.00 to the Cru
sade for Freedom, $2.00 to the
polio fund and $2.00 to the Leon
ard Wood Memorial. Heppner
members have been credited
with $27.50 for paper flowers
made fo the veterans' wheel
chair parade in the Rose Festi
val. Several ditty bags have
been completed for the Veterans
hospital in Portland.
Refreshments were served.

evening at the Masonic hall.

Mrs. Harold Erwin was hostess
at a party at her home Sunday
afternoon February 17, honoring
her daughter Shirley on her ninth
birthday.
Guests were Sheridan Wyman,

Karen and Verena French, Linda
Heath, Vicki Barratt, Diane
Schaffitz, Brenda Young and
Margaret Green
Games were played and each
one received a Japanese parasol

Visits Soroptimists
Miss Marilyn Pettyjohn was
the senior girl who was this
week a guest at the Soroptimist
club luncheon Thursday at
O'Donnell's.
There was no planned pro
gram for the meeting but a let
ter was read by Mrs. Frank Ham
lin from a friend in England and
she also made a report on de
livering the Valentines to the
hospital.
Plans were discussed for table
decorations to be taken to Spo
kane in April for the Regional
Conference.
Methodist Group To
Have Party Saturday
The Methodist Adult Group
will hold their regular potluck
dinner and party on Saturday
evening. March 2 at 6:45 p. m.
