Sunday afternoon at the Seventh
Day Adventist church in Heppner,
Miss Patricia Majei.ke, daughter
; of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Majeske,
was united in marriage to Har
jvoy Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs.
iWhitmer Wright of Heppner. The
marriage ceremony was solemn
ized by the Rev. Merlin Zeirof the
Hope Lutheran church.
The bride, given in riiarriage by
her father, was lovely in a white
balllerina length gown of lace
over slipper satin, fashioned by
herself. Her finger tip illusion
veil was held in place by a cap
of seed pearls and lace. She car
ried a bouquet of winter white
mums centered by a white orchid.
Her sister, Mrs. Jack Mounts of
j Lexington, was matron of honor
wearing autumn green ballerina
.length princess style dress and
carried Emerald Isle green mums
with orange changeable ribbon.
The bridesmaids, Miss Alice
Nichols of Eugene and Miss Rose
Iwasaki of Hillsboro and former
classmates at the Good Samari
tan school of nursing, were love
ly in identical gold colored prin
cess style dresses and carried
nosegays of Emerald Isle green
mums.
I Debbie Majeske was flower girl
!and Stephen Mounts ring bearer,
and Donald Majeske and Ginger
Majeske lit the candles.
Best man was a brother of the
groom, Jim Wright and ushers
iwere Gene Majeske and Jack
I Mounts.
Mrs. C. C. Carmichael played
Incidental music and the wed
ding march and accompanied
Leonard Munkers who sang, "I
Love Thee" and "Oh Perfect
Love". The church was lovely
with candelabra and white mums
beautifully placed in white bas
kets .The brides mother wore
slate blue with white accessories
and wore a cimbiddium corsage,
and the grooms mother, beige
with blue accessories and wore a
entogalssum orchid corsage.
A reception was held in the
I. O. O. F. hall in Lexington with
Mrs. C. C. Jones in charge. The
tables were beautiful with the
brides cake with the traditional
bride and groom top adorned
with white and yellow roses,
w ith candle stick holders adorned
with yellow mums. On the piano
was a fall bouquet of mums. Pre
ceeding the reception incidental
music was played by Charlene
Jones who was also in charge
of the guest book. Pouring was
Mrs. Henry Rauc'h and Mrs. Jim
Wright and serving was Mrs. Gene
Majeske. In charge of the gifts
was Mrs. John Hartman and Mrs.
Orval Matheny. In charge of the
refreshments wera Mrs. Earl
Warner and Mrs. W. E. McMillan
and assisting about the room was
Mrs. George Irvin.
For going away the bride wore
blue wool with white accessories
and wore a white orchid corsage.
After a short wedding trip to
Canada the young couple will be
at home in Arlington where the
groom is employed in the Gilliam
County bank.
Those from out of town at
tending the ceremony were Miss
Rose Iwasaki of Hillsboro; Mrs.
Nichols and daughter of Eugene;
Doc and Mrs. Stenfelt of Union;
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Marshall of
Richland; Mr. and Mrs. George

HEPPNER VARIETY'S toyland is the delight of all youngsters and
this young man is no exception. Even if he is a bey. Tod Sher
rard, held by his mother, had a big interest in the doll the store's
owner Bill Blake is holding. There are toys and gifts for all ages
of youngsters.

The Legion Auxiliary met
Tuesday night at the home of
Mrs. Jack Bailey with Mrs. Don
Bennett, co-hostess for refresh
ments. Twelve were present.
It was voted to sponsor the
Merry Blue Bird group. An
nouncements were made that the
Auxiliary now has eighty eight
paid up members and that gifts
purchased for the Portland Vet
erans hospital from the proceeds
of the benefit card party, came to
