meeting of the Oregon Cattle
man's Association which ended
last Wednesday indicates pro
gress in establishing a beef com
mission in Oregon soon. It was
also reported that livestock men
in committee favored a beef sub
sidy program patterned after the
plan developed in Morrow county
three years ago. At this time,
the majority of Oregon cattlemen
sampled by a survey were against
price support or subsidy pro
grams. The recent slate meeting
indicates that this has changed.
