groom attended high school in
Myrtle Creek before entering the
air force. The young couple will
be at home in Myrtle Creek where
the groom is employed.

Workings Of School
Organizations Is
Told Soroptimists
Representatives from the five
fields of organizations in Hepp
ner high school were the guest
speakers at the Soroptimist club
Thursday noon at O'Donnell's.
Mrs. Mary Van Stevens, pro
gram chairman for the day, in
troduced Darrell Blake who took
charge of the program for the
students. He introduced Shirley
Kononen who spoke on the ser
vice organizations in the high
school and told of the projects
of the F. F. A. and F. B. L. A.
groups.
James Monahan told about the
honor societies, the National
Honor Society and Quill and
Scroll, journalism honarary. He
also told of some of the work on
the school paper and annual.
The work of the speech depart
ment was covered by Meredith
Thomson, who told of the differ
ent types of speeches they study.
Darrell told of the athletic de
partment, which is the main
source of revenue for the student
body and the workings of the
student government bodies.

At Van Marter Home
The Renegers met Wednesday
evening of last week at the home
of Mrs. La Verne Van Marter.

Plans Two Parties
The Triple Link club met Mon
day evening at the home of
Mrs. Frank Ayers.
The card party for April 16 was
discussed, also a dinner to be
held on Mother's Day was plan
ned. Refreshments were served at
the close of the evening by Mrs.
Robert Dobbs, Mrs. Lena Kelly
and the hostess.
