Attend Conference
The Eoroptimist club held its
regular monthly business meet
ing Thursday noon at O'Don-
nell's.
Committee reports were given
and eight members signified
their intention of attending the
Regional Conference to be held
in Coos Bay April 13-14 and 15.
Also three members of the Hepp
ner club intend to go to New
York in July to attend the Fed
eration and International meet
ings of the club, the International
meeting draws Soroptimists mem
bers from clubs all over, the
world.
Mrs. Olive B. Hughes outlined
the program for the month and
several students from the Hepp
ner schools will take part in the
programs.

At Elks Ladies Night
Twelve tables of bridge and
pinochle were in play at the Elks
club ladies' night last Thursday.
Bridge prizes were won by Mrs.
Harold Cohn, high, Mrs. Ned
Sweek, second and Mrs. William
Sowell, traveling prize. In pin
ochle, Mrs. Sam Turner was high,
Mrs. George Snider, second and
Mis. Harry Tamblyn won the
traveling prize. The door prize
went to Mrs. Floyd Worden.
Mrs. Robert Dobbs was hostess
for the card party and wives
of the officers were hostesses for
the putluck dinner preceding the
games.

a regular meeting Friday evening

convention which was held in
Portland last month.

THE TRAIL BLAZERS
On Feb. 21 Mr. Bentley who has
a huge collection of beautiful
polished rocks showed us 26 large
cards of rocks which is about
one-fourth of his collection. He
has collected most of them In
Oregon.
Our regular Pathfinder meet
ing was held at Mrs. Wagner's
Feb. 21. Omer Huston opened
the meeting with a prayer and
Mrs. Wagner told us a story cal
led the Golden Moment. After
a little practice in knot-tieing
Mrs. Robert Robinson gave us
some help on textile painting.
The meeting adjourned with a
prayer.

March 1 at Mrs. C. M. Wagner's.
The meeting opened with a
prayer by Billy Wagner.

"black diamonds", We hope to
make a trip to where thew are
found soon.
After a little practice with Knot
tieing we spent the rest of the
time on textile painting.

TEEN-AGE STITCHERS
The Teen-Age Stitchers had a
meeting February 11 at the home
of Lona White. Almost everyone
had their work finished.
Refreshments were served by
Mrs. White. While we were
having refreshments the girls
had a surprise baby shower for
Mrs. Betty Carlson, our leader.
Mrs. Carlson was very surprised.
She got many nice gifts.
The meeting was adjourned.
