It was decided to hold regular meetings the first Monday of each month and Mrs. Lowell Gribble was appointed tempo rary secretary and Mrs. Winn Crist temporary treasurer. Those present were Mrs. Lowell Gribble, Mrs. James Thomson Mrs. E. K. Schaffitz, Mrs. Claude Graham, Mrs. George Little, Mrs. Winn Crist, Rev. George Little and Mrs. Robert Penland. TO MEET EARLY i S The regular Rhea Creek HEC meeting will be held October 12 rather than the third Thursday of the month, it was announced this week. It will be an all day meeting and plans will be made for the public dinner to be held 'on October 16. i . ! Rita McDaniel Now Mrs. Morgan Medlock Mr. and Mrs. Oren McDaniel announce the marriage of their daughter Rita, to Morgan Med lock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward Medlock of Spray. The wedding took place Fri day, September 16 at the Meth odist church in Heppner with Rev. Lester Boulden officiating. Aloha Medlock was maid of honor and Milo Medlock the best man. A reception was held after the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. The couple plan to make their home in Heppner. Five tables of pinochle and three tables of bridge were in play. James Popham won high score at bridge and Earl Gilliam was second. At pinochle, Frank Turn er had the high score and Mrs. Clarence Johnson was second, Mrs. Edna Turner received the door prize. Refreshments were served by the committee, Mrs. Alvin Case beer, Mrs. Rufus Piper, Mary Ann Jensen and Mrs. John Bergstrom. Bridge Club Meets At Fancher Home Mrs. Bradley Fancher enter tained the Renegers Bridge club Wednesday evening of last week. Mrs. Allen Case had high score, Mrs. William Labhart was second and Mrs. LaVern Van Marter was low. Other members and guests present were Mrs. Evonne Ganv mell, Mrs. Alex Thompson, Mrs James Norene, Mrs. William Bar- ratt, Mrs. Richard Meador, Mrs Jack Angel, Mrs. Larry Dowen and Mrs. Gene Hall. Refreshments were served. Annual Card Party Planned By The Soroptimist Club The Soroptimist club had a sack lunch at the home of Mrs. Grace Nickerson on Thursday. Plans were made for the an nual card party to be held Mon day evening October 4.7 at the Episcopal parish hall at 8:00 P. M. The proceeds from this par ty are used to finance the an nual teenage hayride given by the club on Hallowe'en. It was also announced that the district meeting will be held in Klamath Falls on Saturday Oc tober 22. All members of the club will hae tickets to sell for the par ty. o Mothers Club Meets At Schmidt Home The Young Mothers club met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Elmer Schmidt.
