Here we have Creamy Potato Salad, Vienna sausage and alternate
slices of cheese and canned ham on the tempting platter. Other keep-on-hand
choices may be canned luncheon meat, corned beef and sardines.
Toasted hard rolls, iced tea, and melon for dessert would complete the
menu.
Creamy Potato Salad
cup mayonnaise 2 tablespoons pimiento strips
2 tablespoons prepared mustard 1 cup thinly sliced celery
2 cans (16 oz. each) white potatoes 1 small onion
3 hard cooked eggs Seasoned salt
cup chopped ripe olives Freshly ground pepper
Combine mayonnaise and mustard ; add drained potatoes, cut in cubes.
Chill 2 to 3 hours to blend flavors. Add coarsely cut eggs, olives, pimien
to, celery and diced onion. Season to taste. Chill. Serve on crisp greens.

Mrs. A. F. Majeske and daugh
ter Patricia, motored to Portland
and Salem last weekend where
they attended the wedding on
Sunday of Josephine Nystrom
and Bradley Sack. Miss Majeske
was in charge of the gifts.
Eugene Sawyer spent Sunday
night and Monday In Pioneer Me
morial hospital where he re
ceived medical treatment.
Vacation Bible school got off
to a fine start on Monday morn
ing at 9 a. m. with the following
teachers; Edna Wetzel, Phyliss
Nolan, Merle Price, Lee Wagen-
blast and Margaret Nichols, Jerry
Messenger and Lola Breeding.
There were 45 present on Monday
and let's not forget, folks, that
there Is one more week after the
current week so let's all go to
Bible school.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kendall of
Ukiah visited Sunday in Lexing
ton and were dinner guests of Mr.
and Mrs. L. G. Wetzel. Their
daughter Margaret remaining as
a guest of Janice Wetzel and
Lucille as a guest of Charlene
Jones and will attend Vacation
Bible school. Their other daughter
Janet Kendall who just gradu
ated from Heppner is vacationing
with her grandparents in Kansas.
Lexington was. happy Sunday
to visit with John Runyan, pastor
of the the Toppenish Indian Mis
sion in Washington. Mr. Runyan
and son visited with many of his
friends in Lexington and talked
at the church Sunday night. He
is a local boy, having grown up
here and graduated from the lo
cal high school.
