Boardman High And Grade School Bands Give Concert

The grade and high school
bands presented a concert at the
gymnasium last Thursday night
under the direction of Marion
Morlan. The program was as fol
lows. Both bands played "Pro
motion March", "Forward March",
rIma Monn Waltz", and "Trom-
hnnp Tnhneean Novelty." Cornet
solo, "The Songs My Mother
Taught Me", by Rosina Jones. Fol

sionary work. Both are graduates

Mrs. Guy Ferguson was a pa
tent in r,nnd Shepherd hospital
in Hermiston last week, suffering
Arthur Allen had surgery at
Good Shepherd hospital last
Thursday, returning home Mon
day.
The annual senior prom will be
held at the gymnasium Saturday
April 30. Music will be by Rod
Esselslyn's orchestra.

The Little Chefs and Nimble
Thimbles 4-H clubs met at the
home of their leader, Mrs. wnoy
Fussell, Monday evening. Host
acepe were Toni Tavlor and Linda
Daniels. There were 12 members
present. They plan to make stuf
fed animals, and patterns for
these were examined. They
made plans for a hamburger fry

and have bought a 193 acre farm
at Ontario. They will move in
the near future, although Mrs.
Crowder will remain here for a
while.
Mr. and Mrs. Zearl Gillespie
went to La Grande last Friday to
visit their son, Donald, who is
a student at E. O. C. E.
Mrs. Maud Moore was taken to
the Umatilla hospital last Friday
by her son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Rollo Moore.
Mrs. Florence Root accompan
ied her brother-in-law and sis
ter, Mr. and Mrs. Al Macomber,
Arlington, to Athena Sunday to
visit at the home of her son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Vernon Root.

and children Jim and Patty went
to Portland over the weeKena to
get Miller's mother, Mrs. i-uie
Miller, who has been visiting ner

two daughters, Stayton, were
weekend visitors at the home of
Kuhn's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
