There were almost twice as
many accidents on dry surfaced
highways and roadways in 1951
than there were on highways
that were wet, icy or snowy, it
has been reported by the Secre
tary of State's office.
A total of 37,838 accidents took
place on dry surfaces as com
pared with 21.231 on all other
types of surfaces.
