The regular monthly meeting
of the local Garden club was held
Monday night at the home of
Mrs. Glen Carpenter, with Mrs
Hugh Brown co-hostess. There
were 13 members present, and
visitors were Mrs. A. T. Heriem,
Mrs. Don Downey, Lorelei Hamil
ton, Barbara Anderegg, and Shir
ley Earwood. The club voted to
adopt the Iris as their club flower.
Roll call was answered by giving
a favorite plant this past summer.
Greenfield grange met Satur

and Mrs. Cecil Hamilton and Mr.
and Mrs. Pete Kitto as hosts.
Regular business was conducted
and a committee was appointed
to help the Home Economics club.

Community church elected of
ficers at their meeting last week

the 4-H council meeting one
night last week at the home of

in Irrigon, which was held for
the purpose of planning the an
nual achievement party, the
date to be published later.
Mr. and Mrs. James Guiles, of
Olympia, Wash., visited at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Van
noy Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Tjosem, of
Ellensburg, Wash., visited Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown,

Sunday for North Bend, Wash., to i
