Norman Nelson is able to re
turn to work again after many
days in the hospital.
Mrs. Joan Williams returned to
her home in Phoenix. Arizona,
after a week here with her grand
mother, Mrs. W. E. Benson who is
seriously ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Campbell and
family stopped for a short time
Saturday at the home of Mrs
Campbell's parents. Mr. and Mrs.
Farl Briggs. enroute to their home
in Spokane from Portland.
Weekend guests at the home
of Mrs. Florence Root was her son
and daughter-in-law. Mr. and
Mrs. Vernon Root and two sons,
Curtis and Maurice, Athens. Mon
day Mrs. Root accompanied Mr.
and Mrs. Max Deweese, Grand
view, Wash., to Corvallis where
they will be for a week Mrs. Root
will visit her mother. Mrs. Oliver
Mefford, while the Deweeses will
be at the homes of their son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph DeWeese and family, of
tea tables! Salem and at the son-in-law and
daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dub
and family, Corvallis.
Miss Grace Miller, student a'
EOCE, La Grande spent the week
end here with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Russell Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Royal Rands ar
rived last week and are now at
home in the R. B. Rands apart
ment. Mr. Rands has recently
retired from the state park care
takers job at Culver, Oregon. The
Rands were Boardman residents
for many years and will be wel
comed by old friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Turner and
daughter Gay motored to Aloha,
Oregon for the weekend at the
home of Turner's parents. Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Turner Sr. Mrs
Ray Anderson accompanied them
to Portland where she remained
over the weekend.
Little Sherrly Vannoy was
taken to the hospital in Pendleton
Friday, where she underwent ;
tonsillectomy.
Weekend guests at the homi
of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Janes, was
their son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Janes, Jr. and
infant daughter Debbie.
Mr. Ralph Wasmer was stricken
with a very bad nose bleeding
Monday and was rushed to the
hospital at Pendleton, Mr. Henry
Zivnev taking him. Mr. Wasmer
was able to return home that

Biance Edwards evangelists.
Those going down on Friday

and Mrs. Alex Hunt. Saturday

Patrick's pie and starting off with
loganberry cocktail was served
from a table decorated with bas
ketball and volleyball motifs.
