heifer that sold for $20.70 cwt,
Delbert Anson, manager of the
sale, reports. Merritt Grav. of
Heppner, consigned a 1595 lb.
whiteface bull that sold for a top
of $15. 70. George Hermann of
lone topped the market with a
1275 lb. roan cow which sold for
$16.00

active demand kept prices fully
steady despite drops elsewhere.
Consigned were 391 cattle com
pared with 3t')S the previous Fri
day, 63 hogs compared with 96
and 67 sheep compared with 21.
Most marked price increase was
in fat heifers, better quality and
finish bringing $20.70 cwt., up
$2.60. W'eaner pigs were up $1.00
head to $21.00 and the fiOe drop
in fat hogs to $27.90 cwt. reflected
eastern price drops. Better flesh
quality brought a top of $18.80 on
fat lambs.
