MORSE ON OREGON TOUR
"It's going to take more than
just sneers to defeat Sen. Wayne
Morse if he runs for reelection in
1956," said a republican party
leader when leaving the Salem
High School last Friday night

agenda this month.
"If we keep on merely laugh

Morse, who rebelled against
the Eisenhower policies, lists
himself as a Constitutional Lib
eral and says he got that way

government are too vital and
sacred to be blurred by politics,
he declared.
Morse explained his political j
situation, saying, "I never re
signed from the republican party
until the republican party re
signed from the principals of
Abraham Lincoln."
When questioned if he would
support Richard Neuberger for
governor, he replied, "Yes, with
great enthusiasm".

Slightly lower federal income
tax rates will not necessarily
mean higher take-home pay,
