Jones was hosless to a farewell
party honoring Helen Leah Wint

Lucille Kendall, Barbara Steagall,
Koalie Dickenson, Janice Wetzel 1,
and Dora Sue Davidson, and the
hostess Charlene Jones and as
sistants, Joan Breeding and Mari
lyn Dickenson. Later in the eve
ning very fine gifts were opened.
Mrs. Eunice Strudgeon and
small son from Chicago, 111., are
visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs.
Emery Burnside.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hunt and
Jean are vacationing in Missouri.
They also plan on being visitors
at Yellowstone Park.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Welkie of
Chicago are visiting his parents
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hunt.
Mr. and Mrs. John Ledbetter
are enjoying a vacation in the
Atlantic States and in Missouri
where they will visit Mrs. Led
better's sister, Mrs. and Mr. Ken
neth Duvall, (nee June Van
Winkle).
Cherry and Mickey Grey are va
cationing in Idaho with friends
and relatives.
.Dinner guests Sunday at the E.
K. McFadclen home were Mr. and
Mrs. Leno Mlchiele of Hermiston.
Mrs. Everett Crump and daugh
ters of Seal Rock are visiting her
parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Breshears.
Mr. and Mrs. Hermann Zeigler
and son who have spent the sum
mer at the William Smethurst
ranch returned to their home in
The Dalles Saturday where Mr.
Zeigler will resume his teaching.
Miss Pat Majeske who is tak
ing nurses training in Good
Samaritan in Portland is visiting
her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. A.
Majeske and a host of friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Gene Majeske and
Mrs. Ron Ansted motored to Port
land Friday after Pat. Mrs. Ma
jeske kept the Majeske and An
sted children while their parents
were away.
Mr. and Mrs. William Smet
hurst and Mr. and Mrs. Herman
; Zeigler and son of The Dalles at
tended the wedding Sunday in
Moro of Mr. Zeigler's brother,
Carl Zeigler and Miss Evelyn
Kicklie.
Jack Griffen returned Monday
from a visit with his daughter
and family Mr. and Mrs. Bud
Buchanan and son in Seattle.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wetzell re
turned Wednesday from a vaca
tion spent with his parents in
Idaho.
Mr. and Mrs. Newt O'Harra
were Pendleton visitors one day
last week.
