mands me to sell said real pro

The City of Heppner, Oregon,
hereby invites sealed bids for the
purchase of City of Heppner Sew
age System Bonds in the principal
sum of Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($300,000.00). Sealed bids
must be received by the under
signed until 8:00 o'clock P. M. on
October 31, 1952. These sewage
system bonds will be in denomi
nations of $1,000.00 each, dated
November 1, 1952, and will ma
ture serially In numerical order as
follows:
$6,000.00 on February 1, 1954.
$9,000.00 on February 1 in each of
the years 1955 to 1957 incl.
$10,000.00 on February 1 in each
of the years 1958 to 1960 Incl.
$11,000.00 on February 1 in each
of the years 1961 to 1963 incl.
$12,000.00 on February 1 in each
of the years 1964 to 1966 incl.
$13,000.00 on February 1 in each
of the years 1967 and 1968.

I provided, however, that the bonds
of said issue maturing on or after
February 1, 1963, may be called
'and redeemed in inverse numerl-
cal order upon the payment of the
face value thereof, with accrued
interest, on February 1, 1962, or

thereafter. Both principal and in
iterest shall be payable at the
office of the City Treasurer of the
City of Heppner, Oregon. Interest
will be paid semi-annuany on
February 1st and August 1st of
each year.
The net revenues of the sewer
system are pledged to the pay
ment of these bonds provided that
when the sinking fund contains
more than is required to pay the
next annual payment of principal
and interest, the excess in said
fund may be used to provide ex
tensions and improvements to
said system.
Each proposal must specify in
mutiple of 17o the rate or rates
of interest not exceeding 4 per
annum, which the bonds are to
bear. Said bonds will be sold for
not less than 98 of the par
value and accrued interest.
Each bid, except bids submitted
by the State of Oregon, must be
accompanied by a certified check
for 2 of the par value of the
bonds, made payable to the city
as a guarantee of good faith.
Each bidder is required to in
clude in his bid a statement of
the total interest cost, and effec
tive interest rate, based upon ag
gregate interest cost, that the
city will pay if his bid is accept
ed and none of the bonds are
called prior to the final maturity
date thereof.
The right to reject any and all
bids is reserved by the City of
Heppner.
The prior legal approving opin
ion of Messrs. Winfree, McCul
loch, Shuler & Sayre, Portland,
Oregon, will be furnished the suc
cessful bidder.
