It will be based on competition among the classes and the progress shown by pasting the dimes on a graph in the hall. The girls' volleyball teams have played Condon and Pilot Rock with nearly the same re sults. The "B" girls won the two games by a large score and the "A" girls have lost by only a few points. High point girls have been Rieta Graves, Mary Ruth Green, Loree Stager, and Billie Jean Pri vett. Rieta Graves and Nancv Eberhardt led a yell for both schools as the letters were formed. Mrs. Knight is the drill team advisor. The Pep Club sponsored another pep assembly last Friday morn ing before the Condon game. Wendell Connor, program chair man, introduced Mr. Vanover, the guest speaker, who gave several rules of good sportsmanship and added that Heppner followed most of these rules. Jack Monajsle was the fresh men speaker and the Senior girls sang "Here Comes Santa Claus" with lyrics they had made up about the coming game. The new cheer leaders for the Freshmen Clase were Clarice Hastings. Nancy Ball and Jnm Hayes. The other classes were lead by their same cheer leaders.
