day of last week.
The PTA served dinner Thurs
day, Feb. 14, at the schoolhouse
for the school board members of
the county.
Around $120 was taken In at
the Rebekah riinnpr sprveH at th
Bchoolhouse Sunday. The pro
ceeds went toward the band uni
forms. The school reports that they
now have a little over $1300 on
their band uniforms. The Topic
club gave $100 and the Arnica
club $50.

in Walla Walla March 17-18. A
student will be voted on to at
tend this meeting.

Sam Crawford spent a few

The Wate Crawfords have pur
chased the Harry Yarnell house
on Second street. The Yarnells
have their new house almost
completed.
TAX REPRESENTATIVE DUE
Word from the Oregon State
Tax Commission is to the effect
that a representative of the in
come tax division will be in this
area early next week. He will be
in Arlington from 10 a. m. to 2
p. m. February 27; Condon 3 to 5
p. m. same day; Fossil from 9 a.
m. to 11 a. m. February 28, and
Heppner from 2 to 4 that after
noon.
